Radiology Technologist Position

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for acquiring high-quality diagnostic images for radiographic interpretation.
Key Responsibilities- Image Acquisition: Perform quality exams and order exams appropriately, using established policies, procedures, standards, and protocols to obtain and provide quality images to physicians and radiologists.
- Patient Care: Provide quality patient care by accurately obtaining and documenting patient history, intake information, and vital signs as needed. Conduct pain assessments and obtain pulse oximeter readings.
- Lab Functions: Collect and prepare specimens for testing, perform routine in-house lab tests, and record lab results and tests performed in logs and on charts.
- Occupational Health: Perform responsibilities for occupational health as needed, including breath alcohol testing, audiometry, spirometry, EKG, vision, and other tests as specified by company agreements.
- Departmental Support: Clean, stock, and prepare rooms, maintain inventory of medical supplies, and coordinate the flow of patients into and out of the department.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or related field preferred.
- Certifications: ARRT (R) certification in radiography required; state licensure as required by state laws and regulations.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment; proficiency in medical terminology and radiographic procedures.
