About the Role
Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room Department on a per diem basis. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services to our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting, demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and responsibility.
- Triage patients safely, rapidly, and accurately, and perform nursing assessments following department policy and procedure.
- Determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system.
- Communicate effectively with Emergency Room Department Providers about changes in patient status, symptoms, and results of diagnostic studies.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or responses to treatment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, required.
- Current RN license in Oregon, required.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
- TEAM or TNCC certification preferred.
- CEN certification desired.
- Minimum of one year of Med/Surg nursing experience required.
- Minimum of one year of Emergency Room nursing experience desired.
