Job Overview

The Environmental Service Hospital Housekeeper may work in various locations on client premises. This role involves cleaning and maintaining facilities or locations in a healthcare campus. The general responsibilities of the position include:

  • Cleaning and polishing lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
  • Cleaning rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
  • Sweeping and/or vacuuming floors.
  • Dusting furniture and equipment.
  • Polishing metalwork.
  • Washing walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empting wastebaskets and transporting trash and waste to the disposal area.
  • Replenishing bathroom supplies.
  • Transporting small equipment or tools between departments.
Job Qualifications

To be successful in this position, applicants must:

  • Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
  • Have experience in the janitorial industry (a plus).
  • Have medical cleaning experience (a plus).
  • Pass a post-offer medical, background screening, and drug test.
  • Hold a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this job include:

  • Regularly standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Frequently climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and talking or hearing.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 lbs.
