Key Responsibilities:
The Rehabilitation Specialist will deliver comprehensive rehabilitation services, which encompass:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations, including the review of relevant historical data.
  • Formulating and implementing tailored treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
  • Regularly reassessing and modifying treatment strategies as necessary.
  • Engaging in discharge planning and ensuring proper documentation across various care settings.

This role also involves collaboration with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to program development initiatives.

Essential Duties:
The successful candidate will:

  • Communicate evaluation results and treatment plans clearly to patients and their families, involving them in the goal-setting process.
  • Exhibit proficiency in executing treatment protocols that align with patient evaluations and the dynamic healthcare landscape.
  • Monitor and document any changes in patient conditions that may necessitate adjustments to the care plan.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient care activities, reflecting the patient's journey through rehabilitation.
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills and maintain an organized schedule.
  • Commit to providing seamless access to care, showcasing flexibility and empathy in a patient-centered environment.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and serve as a mentor to less experienced staff and students.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Rehabilitation Therapy.
  • Graduation from an accredited Rehabilitation Therapy program.
  • Licensure in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and/or Virginia as required for the specific location.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
