Job Summary
The Cardiac Monitoring and Interpreting Technician plays a critical role in the Mayo Clinic's commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing surveillance, analysis, and interpretation of patients' heart rhythm patterns and physiological parameters.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for a variety of patient populations, including those with complex medical conditions.
- Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely interpretation of cardiac data.
- Operate and maintain various monitoring/testing devices and systems, including equipment calibration and troubleshooting.
- Prepare patients and equipment for testing and monitoring, and assess the need for different types of testing or monitoring.
- Provide patient education on procedures and accurately record physiological data and preliminary interpretations in multiple reporting systems.
- Communicate abnormal or critical physiological responses and activate medical emergency response plans as needed.
Requirements
