Job Title: Lead Kafka Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Kafka Engineer to join our team at Syntricate Technologies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale Kafka clusters and Confluent cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement high-performance Kafka clusters and Confluent cloud-based systems
  • Develop and maintain producer applications for Kafka and configure KAFKA for cloud-native applications
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve Kafka issues, maintaining documentation for the same
  • Lead, architect, and capacity plan Kafka clusters, brokers, producers, consumers, self-managed connectors, and schema registry on Confluent Platform and Confluent Cloud
  • Monitor and optimize system performance using Prometheus, Grafana, Kafka Manager, and Confluent Control Center
  • Automate day-to-day operations using Terraform
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining large-scale Kafka clusters and Confluent cloud-based systems
  • 2+ years of experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting Kafka issues
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile/Scrum Development & Management, Scaled Agile Framework, Iterative & Incremental development approaches, Continuous Integration, and delivery
  • 3+ years of experience in designing high-volume transaction systems
  • 2+ years of experience in leading, architecting, and capacity planning Kafka clusters and Confluent cloud-based systems
  • 2+ years of experience in monitoring technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, Kafka Manager, and Confluent Control Center
  • 2+ years of experience in automating day-to-day operations using Terraform
