Job Title: Industrial Firefighter EMT

Located in Channahon, IL

Job Summary:

We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated Industrial Firefighter EMTs to join our team at Rural Metro Fire. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for responding to fires, medical emergencies, and other hazardous situations in a timely and safe manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to fires and emergencies with a high level of skill and professionalism
  • Administer medical aid to injured parties at the appropriate level of training
  • Operate Company vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain fire and rescue apparatus, tools, and equipment in good working condition
  • Perform routine non-firefighting work tasks, such as record-keeping and paperwork
  • Work effectively as a team member in emergency and non-emergency situations
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Illinois OSFM Basic Operations Firefighter (BOF) or Illinois OSFM Firefighter II with Hazmat Ops certification
  • Illinois EMT-B or higher EMS certification
  • CPR/AED credentials
  • Physical Agility Fitness Test (Initial Hire and Annually)
  • NIMS ICS-100, 200, 700, and 800 certification
  • Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) card
