Job Title: Voluntary Research Scholar

Job Summary:

The Voluntary Research Scholar will work closely with our faculty and staff to design, execute, and analyze research projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their research skills, work on innovative projects, and contribute to the advancement of our field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and prepare research proposals, including detailed rationales, background data, and proposed methods and organization.
  • Collect and analyze data, producing written reports on results.
  • Conduct pilot studies to support new and competing renewal applications.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures, safeguarding University assets.
  • Maintain accurate records of research findings and analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of manuscripts for publications and grant preparations.
  • Present research findings at local and national scientific conferences.
Requirements:
  • MD in a relevant field.
  • Must be working as a resident or fellow in a University of Miami program.
  • Skills in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
