Job Overview

The Automotive Service Operations Manager at Total Motors plays a crucial role in overseeing the Service department. The primary goal is to ensure customer satisfaction with the quality of repair services provided.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Automotive Service Operations Manager include:

  • Organizing service appointments for vehicle repairs, maintenance, or warranty work.
  • Maintaining accurate parts inventory and records, sourcing necessary components, and assisting service advisors as needed.
  • Reaching out to existing customers to recommend vehicle inspections and repairs under scheduled maintenance or warranty programs.
  • Listening to customer feedback and addressing their concerns to resolve any issues effectively.
  • Facilitating efficient communication within the department and collaborating with other departments.
  • Assigning and scheduling tasks for automotive service staff based on their expertise.
  • Providing assistance to service technicians with vehicle repair tasks when necessary.
  • Following up with customers to gather feedback and ensure their satisfaction with the services rendered.
  • Staying informed about advancements in the automotive service industry.
  • Completing additional tasks or projects as assigned by dealership management.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • A high school diploma, with preference given to candidates with post-secondary education in a technical field.
  • A minimum of 6 years of sales and supervisory experience, with at least 3-4 years in the automotive sector (parts and/or service).
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude, along with participation in management development training.
