Job Summary

We are seeking highly qualified Adjunct Instructors to teach Business and Business Law courses at College of the Canyons. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for creating a dynamic learning environment that values instructor/student interaction and effectively engaging with and facilitating authentic learning for students of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Business and Business Law courses, including but not limited to, accounting, finance, marketing, and business management
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with College of the Canyons' standards and outcomes
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide activities, including committee work and professional development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and technologies
Qualifications
  • Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Business/Business Law
  • OR - Master's degree in business, business management, accountancy, finance, marketing, or business education
  • OR - Any bachelor's degree in either of the above AND master's degree in economics, personnel management, public administration, or J.D. or LL.B. degree
  • OR - Any bachelor's degree in economics with a business emphasis AND master's degree in personnel management, public administration, or J.D. or LL.B. degree
  • OR - Equivalent (none accepted)
Working Conditions
  • Assignments may include Monday through Friday (day and evening), as well as Saturday classes
  • Adjunct Salary Rate: Starting at $88.30 per hour
