New Grad RN Nurse Residency Behavioral Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate New Grad RN to join our Behavioral Health Nurse Residency Program at Research Psychiatric Center. As a New Grad RN, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Job SummaryThe New Grad RN will provide high-quality patient-centered care to individuals with emotional disorders, mental illness, and substance abuse. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to delivering compassionate and individualized care.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient response, and notify providers as needed.
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about patient medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing completed by start date.
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State (with a grace period to pass NCLEX).
- No previous experience required.
