Senior Attorney

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Attorney to join our team at Blakemore Meeker & Bowler Co. L in Akron, Ohio.

The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) and be licensed to practice law in Ohio.

A competitive salary of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, plus benefits such as dental insurance, vision insurance, and health insurance, will be offered to the selected candidate.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in all manners of legal work, including civil litigation, probate matters, criminal and traffic cases, and domestic relations.
• Engage in impactful client consultations to diagnose legal issues and develop tailored action plans.
• Actively represent clients in court, arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and participating in trials.
• Provide regular updates through carefully drafted letters and emails, informing clients of case statuses and upcoming milestones.
• Maintain accurate records of billable hours and review time entries for efficiency and value.
