Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in a gastroenterology setting
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and imaging studies
- Prescribe medications and treatments as needed
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements in gastroenterology
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
- Prefer 2-3 years of clinical experience as a NP/PA in internal medicine or gastroenterology
- Active PA Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), Connecticut State Physician Assistant License, ACLS/BLS Certified, when indicated for the position profile DEA License, when indicated for the pediatric position profile PALS, when indicated for neonatal care NRP Certification
