At Travel Nurse Across America, we are seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist to join our team on a 13-week travel assignment in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience and be certified as an ARRT (R) National Certification and hold state-specific licensing when required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for using diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring accurate images are passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. They will also be responsible for preparing and caring for patients undergoing radiologic testing.

Key Tasks:

  • Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
  • Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
  • Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to the appropriate position
  • Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to the patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
  • Calibrate imaging equipment
  • Prepare results for Physician to review
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary package based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. The estimated annual salary is $80,000-$100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
