We are seeking an experienced product liability paralegal to join our client's firm in Miami, FL. Our paralegals play a vital role on our case teams, respected for their ideas and contributions.

Responsibilities:

  • Document Preparation: Prepare, edit, and proofread various documents, including correspondence, agreements, and pleadings.
  • Litigation Support: Work with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each case, including updating team members on case status and alerting attorneys to important client and case needs.
  • Discovery Assistance: Assist attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions, and issuing subpoenas.
  • Document Review: Assist with document review and analysis through various platforms.
  • Case Management: Manage electronic case files using a document management system to ensure information is organized and easy to locate.
  • Trial Preparation: Prepare for trial, including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing and issuing trial subpoenas, preparing and managing exhibits, and attending trial.

  • Meticulous, diligent, personable, and highly motivated.
  • Capable of responding quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities.
  • Able to anticipate challenges and exercise independent judgment to make sound decisions and take effective action.
  • Deliver high-quality work products and take ownership, responsibility, and accountability.
  • Comfortable with learning new technology and processes.
  • Ability to travel nationwide to attend trial.
  • Must be familiar with and able to follow client billing guidelines, enter and record accurate billing entries.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs (files and boxes).

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of law firm experience.
