About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nocturnist Hospital Medicine Provider to join our team at The University of Kansas Health System. As a critical care physician assistant, you will be responsible for managing health problems and coordinating healthcare in intensive care or acute care in-patient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care and medical services to individuals, families, and groups.
  • Evaluate medical problems, request consultation when indicated, and provide education to patients and families about preventive care and medical issues.
  • Create diagnostically appropriate treatment plans, document medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatments, and outcomes in accordance with NCQA, The Joint Commission, and state regulatory standards.
  • Maintain documentation compliance for coding and billing, facilitate evaluation of records by physician(s) and peers, and receive and implement constructive directives.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Physician Assistant or Master's Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Advanced practice license in Kansas and/or Missouri (depending on practice locations), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, and Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) certification.

Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
