Job Title: Upholstery Carpenter Job Type: Full-time Job Location: Miami, Florida Schedule: 5 days a week, 8 hours each day, 07:00 to 03:30 Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years' documented experience.
  • Ability to perform heavy work, lifting 25 lbs to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble furniture.
  • Ability to fix broken furniture.
  • Ability to make furniture according to plans.
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment, wearing hearing protection when necessary.
  • Ability to stand and bend for long periods.
Duties:
  • Measure, cut, construct, or repair wood or wood substitute items.
  • Measure, cut, construct, install, repair, and modify building components.
  • Independently plan and complete projects involving constructing, altering, repairing, and/or modifying framework, rafters, doors, finished paneling, windows, interior/exterior trim, staircases, trusses, and beams.
  • Plan, measure, and lay out carpentry materials using broad knowledge of wood materials and substitutes with general and precision woodworking techniques.
  • Knowledge of metal framing for walls and drop ceilings.
  • Concrete and masonry skills.
