Job Title: Senior Litigation Personal Injury Paralegal

At Sinton Scott Minock & Kerew, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Litigation Personal Injury Paralegal to join our team. As a key member of our litigation department, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys in preparing cases for hearings and trials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in preparing cases for hearings and trials, ensuring all necessary documents are filed and deadlines are met.
  • Schedule and prepare clients for depositions, mediations, and trials, providing exceptional customer service and communication.
  • Draft and file complaints with attorney assistance, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Maintain the litigation and statute of limitations calendars, ensuring timely and efficient case management.
  • Work with attorneys and clients to answer and draft discovery, ensuring all necessary information is obtained and documented.
  • Organize and prepare files for depositions, hearings, and trials, ensuring all necessary documents are readily available.
  • Track statutes, service of pleadings, and calendar deadlines, providing timely reminders and notifications.
  • E-file court documents in state and federal court, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Draft letters and simple court documents with attorney supervision, maintaining a professional and polished tone.
  • Locate witnesses for interviews and gather witness statements, ensuring all necessary information is obtained and documented.
  • Contact expert witnesses to coordinate meetings, document exchanges, and appearances, as necessary.
  • Consistently communicate with clients and office personnel, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Document all expenses in the client accounts, including filing fees, travel, and other related costs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 7 years personal injury litigation experience, with a strong understanding of Georgia and federal e-filing systems and protocols.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills, with the ability to create a professional work product.
  • Excellent proofreading and grammatical accuracy, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and attorneys.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player, with a collaborative and supportive approach.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • College degree and a Paralegal Certificate, with a strong understanding of client management software programs and file-sharing services.
  • Experience working with multiple attorneys, with a strong understanding of team dynamics and collaboration.
  • Experience using client management software programs, such as Filevine, and file-sharing services, including Dropbox and ShareFile.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing technologies, with a strong understanding of emerging trends and innovations.
