JOB OVERVIEW
POSITION: MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
SUMMARY:
The Member Service Representatives at Island Federal Credit Union are dedicated to addressing the financial needs of our members. They achieve this by recommending our range of credit union products and services, utilizing our established sales techniques, managing inquiries and issues, and executing transactions with precision and minimal oversight in a friendly and professional manner. Our representatives are well-versed in all services offered by the credit union and are prepared to assist in various capacities as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assess both new and existing member accounts, services, and credit histories. Identify opportunities to cross-sell credit union offerings, including deposit and loan products, to enhance members' financial health through our preferred sales methods.
2. Gather necessary documentation to facilitate member loan processing and accurately enter loan applications into our system.
3. Collect required information to establish new membership accounts and/or services.
4. Handle requests for stop payments, share draft copies, wire transfers, certificate modifications, statement copies, credit card applications, check orders, and resolve member bill payment issues, address changes, and loan inquiries.
5. Address member inquiries via phone or mail concerning credit union products, services, and associated fees.
6. Engage with members to resolve questions, issues, and complaints effectively.
7. Execute non-monetary transactions such as deposits, loan payments, transfers, and check withdrawals for members, either by phone or in person.
8. Stay informed about all new and existing electronic services provided by the credit union and educate members about these services.
9. Comply with all security protocols and adhere to credit union policies and procedures.
10. Complete and pass all mandatory BSA training.
11. Provide coverage at the reception desk during the receptionist's absence.
12. Maintain inventory and conduct necessary audits for safety deposit boxes.
13. Perform duties as a Notary Public.
14. Collect required documentation and execute Signature Guarantees in accordance with established policies and procedures.
15. Adapt to a flexible work schedule to accommodate branch needs, including evenings and weekends.
16. Assist at the Teller platform during peak times.
17. Be prepared to work at any branch location as necessary.
18. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
