Payroll Specialist/HR Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our Human Resources team at Value Drug CO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for compiling and recording employee time and payroll data, maintaining personnel records, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities:- Payroll Data Management: Prepare payroll data using UKG for accurate processing, review timesheets, and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Reconciliation and Tracking: Reconcile payroll, hours, and tax information. Track paid time off (PTO) and reconcile in UKG.
- Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and review quarterly earnings, tax reports, and Local Services Tax Forms.
- Employee Data Management: Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from various sources, addressing any discrepancies in timecards.
- Payroll Adjustments: Process pay/hour adjustments, benefit deductions, and miscellaneous reimbursements.
- Payroll Submissions: Manage payroll submissions, including paydata batches, new hires, and terminations.
- Record Keeping: Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments to ensure accurate records.
- Employee Support: Provide employees and managers with payroll, tax, and benefits information.
- Period-End Reporting: Prepare and balance period-end reports, including payroll taxes and W-2 processing.
- HR Support: Handle employment verifications, unemployment claims, and maintain personnel documentation.
- Collaboration: Assist with HR functions such as pre-employment screenings, updating employee records, and supporting the development of job descriptions and benefit plans.
