Occupational Therapist Travel Job

Travel Nurse Across America is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team for a travel assignment in Lubbock, Texas.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and developing treatment plans for patients with various disabilities and conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
  • Develop treatment plans for patients, identifying specific goals and activities to help them work towards those goals.
  • Help patients with various disabilities perform different tasks.
  • Evaluate patients' homes or workplaces and identify potential improvements based on their health needs.
  • Provide education to patients' families and employers on how to accommodate and care for them.
  • Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on how to use it.
  • Assess and record patients' activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
Requirements
  • 6 months of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
  • BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
