About Our Facility:
- Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is a reputable 83-bed acute care facility offering a wide range of services, including Cardiology, Emergency Services, and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER.
- We believe in a collaborative approach to healthcare, where every team member plays a vital role in patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver care in both outpatient and acute care environments, dedicating approximately 50% of your time to each.
- Conduct thorough initial and ongoing evaluations of patients' conditions.
- Develop, modify, and assess individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
- Implement therapeutic interventions using established physical therapy techniques tailored to each patient's needs.
- Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants, students, and other support staff.
- Educate patients, families, and colleagues to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation of patient interactions and personal records.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives related to departmental and organizational performance.
- Contribute to the recruitment of new team members and participate in peer performance evaluations.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned and be available for on-call duties if necessary.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
- Current licensure to practice Physical Therapy in Texas or eligibility to obtain prior to employment.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
- A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience.
