Job Overview

Minuteman Security Technologies Inc is looking for a dedicated Installation Technician I. The successful candidate will be tasked with the installation, upkeep, and repair of a variety of systems and equipment. A solid technical foundation is essential, along with the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct installations as necessary
  • Execute system removals when required
  • Verify system operations to ensure adherence to the original project specifications, full functionality, and client satisfaction
  • Communicate with the Operations Manager or Project Managers regarding service job progress and minor project concerns
  • Prioritize safety and responsibility to prevent injuries, protect property, manage inventory of materials, and maintain cleanliness of work areas
  • Keep precise records of tasks completed
  • Be prepared for overnight travel and training at remote job sites as needed
Qualifications

Essential skills and qualifications include:

  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • 1-2 years of relevant industry experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of installation techniques, troubleshooting practices, and industry standards
  • Basic familiarity with field testing equipment and specialized tools such as multimeters, cable testers, and fiber kits
  • Understanding of electronic security technologies and system architecture
  • Proficiency in basic office software including Connectwise, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Professional and courteous interaction with clients
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a field team
  • Capability to safely operate at heights using ladders and aerial lifts
  • Commitment to safety best practices
  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
