Career OpportunityWe seek an individual to join our grain team in Cheyenne Wells, CO, as a Laborer/Operator. This role requires no prior experience, offering competitive pay, flexible scheduling, overtime opportunities, and comprehensive benefits.
Responsibilities- Execute general labor tasks efficiently, following company policies and regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of commodities handled at the location, adhering to relevant policies and government regulations.
- Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, involving tasks like sampling, loosening large nuts, opening hatches, and attaching/detaching hoses.
- Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light machinery/equipment, including bulk and packaged materials.
- Control and monitor all load-out functions.
- Operate automated scale/dump systems.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks, including lubrication of pumps, valves, and loading arms, inspecting equipment for leaks, and recording activities.
- Monitor and maintain inventory quality, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemical, seed, feed, and others to customer sites.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment, performing housekeeping duties, completing record-keeping, and addressing customer complaints, repair needs, and safety concerns.
- Conduct grounds maintenance, including snow removal.
- Participate in warehouse work, driving loaders, loading/unloading inventory, operating forklifts, and performing general maintenance.
- Identify and communicate workplace hazards, promoting a strong safety culture and adhering to company policies and procedures.
We offer a competitive total rewards package, including a base wage and potential bonus, incentives, and commissions, depending on position. The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 - $70,000 per year, reflecting factors like experience, education, training, skills, and certifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, wellness programs, life insurance, health and dependent care spending accounts, paid time off, 401(k), pension, profit sharing, short- and long-term disability, tuition reimbursement, and adoption assistance, subject to eligibility requirements.
Requirements- Able to lift 75 pounds.
- Able to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins.
- Able to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
