Position: Contract Medical Assistant - Corrections Facility

TEEMA, a leading provider of staffing solutions, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to support operations within a corrections facility.

  • Location: San Diego, CA
  • Employment Type: Contract
  • Compensation: $21/hr
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver medical assistance in a correctional setting.
  • Perform essential clinical tasks including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date medical documentation in accordance with facility standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Adhere to safety and security protocols specific to the corrections environment.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program with appropriate certification.
  • Experience in a correctional facility is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

Requirements:

  • Valid Medical Assistant certification.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Ability to pass necessary background checks.
