Geotechnical Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our geoenvironmental and geotechnical practice in Acton, Massachusetts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct geotechnical and environmental field investigations
  • Monitor civil and environmental remediation construction projects
  • Develop, install, monitor, and manage geotechnical instrumentation systems
  • Perform and review engineering calculations using traditional or computer-based tools
  • Support landfill and waste containment system design and permitting, environmental remediation, earthquake engineering, and offshore field investigation projects
  • Review and interpret geotechnical data, including boring logs and laboratory test results
  • Develop construction documents and prepare and review engineering reports
  • Write and review engineering reports, and support proposal preparation, project management, and business development efforts
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering (required)
  • Advanced degree in geotechnical engineering (preferred)
  • Professional registration (P.E., P.G.) (preferred)
  • At least 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
  • Experience with modeling/design tools such as AUTOCAD, Slide, and PLAXIS (preferred)
  • Regular fieldwork and overnight travel (required)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills (required)
