We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our geoenvironmental and geotechnical practice in Acton, Massachusetts.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct geotechnical and environmental field investigations
- Monitor civil and environmental remediation construction projects
- Develop, install, monitor, and manage geotechnical instrumentation systems
- Perform and review engineering calculations using traditional or computer-based tools
- Support landfill and waste containment system design and permitting, environmental remediation, earthquake engineering, and offshore field investigation projects
- Review and interpret geotechnical data, including boring logs and laboratory test results
- Develop construction documents and prepare and review engineering reports
- Write and review engineering reports, and support proposal preparation, project management, and business development efforts
- Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering (required)
- Advanced degree in geotechnical engineering (preferred)
- Professional registration (P.E., P.G.) (preferred)
- At least 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
- Experience with modeling/design tools such as AUTOCAD, Slide, and PLAXIS (preferred)
- Regular fieldwork and overnight travel (required)
- Excellent writing and communication skills (required)
