Job Summary:

As a PT Sales Associate Cashier at Food Lion, you will be responsible for providing fast, easy, flexible and friendly service to our customers through the achievement of Food Lion customer service standards. You will be the face of our company, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and memorable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every customer leaves the store satisfied.
  • Operate a cash register, handle transactions, and maintain accurate cash control.
  • Assist customers with their shopping needs, answering questions and providing product information.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to Food Lion's high standards.
  • Work collaboratively with other associates to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods, frequently walking short distances.
  • Ability to lift products weighing up to 15 lbs. continuously, 25 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. on occasion.
  • Ability to use computers and other communication systems required to perform job functions.
