">Fusion Medical Staffing-Cardio is seeking a skilled Perfusionist to join their team for a 13-week travel assignment in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Job OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional to work with patients requiring cardiopulmonary support. As a Perfusionist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective management of cardiovascular procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perfusion Services: Provide expert perfusion care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery, including cardiac bypass, heart transplant, and other complex procedures.
- Clinical Expertise: Utilize your knowledge and skills to optimize patient outcomes, ensure accurate diagnosis, and implement effective treatment plans.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses, to provide seamless patient care.
- Equipment Management: Maintain and troubleshoot equipment used in perfusion services, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellent patient care.
- Education and Certification: Bachelor's degree in Perfusion or related field; certification as a Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) or Registered Perfusionist (RP).
- Experience: One to three years of experience in perfusion services, preferably in a cardiovascular surgery setting.
- Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
