Compliance Specialist

Job Summary:
Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Compliance Coordinator to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards within our organization.
The Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for conducting audits, assessments, and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
This role requires professional, written, and oral communication, problem-solving, and effective collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits, assessments, and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
- Provide training and education to staff on compliance policies and procedures.
- Investigate and report compliance incidents and concerns.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Active Nursing license in the State of North Carolina (LPN or higher).
- Preferred but not required: Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) as issued by the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).
- 3 years of clinic experience with focused regulatory compliance involvement.
