JOB SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Operations Leader is responsible for overseeing all facets of inventory management, warehouse operations, and logistics coordination to guarantee the efficient and secure handling of products, ensuring timely delivery to clients. This role encompasses managing inventory levels, supervising staff, upholding safety protocols, negotiating freight costs, and coordinating customer service functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assess and maintain optimal inventory levels for all products utilizing automated inventory management systems.
  • Supervise and lead personnel effectively.
  • Oversee and enhance customer service and operational performance metrics.
  • Manage the warehouse safety program, ensuring compliance with safety inspections and audits, and that all employees complete required safety training.
  • Provide training to staff as necessary.
  • Negotiate freight rates with common carriers.
  • Oversee basic human resource functions.
  • Manage customer order entry, billing, and accounts receivable processes.
  • Plan and allocate work assignments efficiently.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of customer orders through established routes and company delivery vehicles.
  • Address customer needs promptly.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
  • Maintain accurate and current customer pricing records within the INFOR system.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations, safety standards relevant to the work environment, and other applicable rules governing work practices.
  • Understanding of inventory systems and the products managed.
  • Knowledge of warehousing and transportation operations.
  • Strong communication skills in both oral and written forms.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree required or an equivalent combination of education and experience; one year of experience may substitute for one year of education.
EXPERIENCE:
  • A minimum of 4 years in a relevant field.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit in one location or stand/walk; may require stooping, climbing, or lifting light materials (10-20 lbs) or equipment.
