Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team at Community Health Centers of Pinellas. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients.
Job Summary:
The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for assessing patient needs, planning and delivering direct dental care, and providing patient education and support. You will work closely with our dental team to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient dental condition and needs, using patient screening procedures and medical history review.
- Deliver direct patient care, including routine treatment procedures, such as debridement, prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, polishing, x-rays, and application of sealants and fluorides.
- Develop and implement individualized dental care plans for patients, providing patient education and discharged planning.
- Collaborate with the medical department to provide dental screenings at medical well-visits as needed.
- Document patient data accurately and timely into an electronic health record.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene.
- Current and unencumbered Florida Dental Hygienist License.
- Current BLS Certification.
