Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Attorney to join our team in Insurance Defense and Trial Advocacy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective defense strategies, handling court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop compelling case themes that outshine plaintiff ploys for sympathy or anger
  • Refuse to accept mediocrity and strive for excellence in all aspects of case handling
  • Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials
  • Collaborate with colleagues of varying experience levels to achieve common goals
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients through routine communications
  • Cultivate relationships with existing and future clients to drive business growth
  • Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys
Requirements
  • JD from an ABA-approved law school
  • Active bar license in the state of California
  • 1-8 years of solid litigation experience, with a focus on litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation
  • Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including discovery and trial
  • Experience handling insurance defense matters preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision
  • Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
