Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Evening Custodian to join our facilities maintenance team at Clear Creek Amana Community School District. As an Evening Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our school facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform thorough cleaning, scrubbing of floors, cleaning fixtures, washing windows, and dusting to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.
  • Security: Ensure doors are locked after evening events and perform regular building checks to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Perform snow removal when needed and maintain the overall appearance of the school grounds.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Handle and maintain custodial equipment, including vacuums, mop buckets, and electric floor scrubbers.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Engineer or Director of Buildings and Grounds.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift heavy objects (up to 70 pounds) on a routine basis.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
