About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Trial Attorney to join our team at State Farm. As a Trial Attorney, you will be responsible for handling civil defense litigation cases from inception to conclusion, with a focus on auto cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle first and third-party cases, including jury trials
- Conduct research and analysis to develop effective defense strategies
- Present and cross-examine lay and expert witnesses
- Direct support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling
- Work in a paperless electronic environment and utilize automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
Requirements:
- J.D. from an A.B.A. accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
- Active law license to practice in Texas and membership in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
- Experience handling first and third-party cases, with an emphasis on auto cases
- Jury trial experience
- Knowledge of local and state discovery rules, trial procedures, and applicable substantive law
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role, requiring a combination of in-office and remote work. The successful candidate will be required to spend time working from home and in the office, as part of our hybrid work environment.
