We are seeking a highly skilled Surveyor Associate to join our team at the City of Toledo, OH. As a Surveyor Associate, you will play a critical role in performing surveying office and field work, including GPS data collection, to support the development of engineering construction plans and property surveys.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain information for engineering construction plans and property surveys
- Oversee the work of and train subordinate members of the survey team as necessary
- Research courthouse records and other documents to prepare right of way plans and legal descriptions
- Investigate and obtain necessary data and records required to perform field and land surveys
- Assist in the preparation of the Survey Section budget requests
- Set up and operate all survey instruments and equipment as needed, including any other associated field work as necessary to complete required survey operations
- Prepare and maintain inventory records to assist in determining long-term needs in replacing surveying equipment
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering with at least 24 quarter hours or equivalent semester hours of approved surveying courses in surveying directly and mapping arts and sciences
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Three (3) years of experience in surveying activities
- Registration as a State of Ohio Surveyor-in-Training

The employee is constantly indoors and rarely outdoors. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. This employee will rarely work in varied/extreme temperatures.
