Youth Sports Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Volleyball Official to join our team at the Wheaton Park District. As a Volleyball Official, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and control of volleyball games, as well as enforcing the rules of the game.

• Arrive on time for all games and wear the required uniform.
• Use a whistle appropriately during games and make consistent and correct calls based on the rules of volleyball.
• Move about the court to keep up with play and cooperate with other staff and referees.
• Demonstrate a commitment to providing a high-quality customer service experience.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, and maintain good safety awareness.

• Minimum 16 years of age with some volleyball experience as a player or official.
• Knowledge of volleyball rules and the ability to enforce them consistently.
• Comfortable working with adult coaches, parents, and spectators.
• CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain within one year of employment.
• Ability to work indoors and experience varying ranges of lighting and temperatures.

This position requires the ability to continuously move about the courts for long periods of time, as well as frequently move sports equipment weighing up to 10 lbs.

$25.00 per hour, DOE.
