Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity in Special Education

Soliant is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support children with moderate to profound intellectual disabilities in a Special Education school in South Holland, IL.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs
  • Determine eligibility for speech services and work with an interdisciplinary team to determine appropriate goals
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for children with identified speech and language disorders
  • Develop communication goals and contribute to an Individual Education Plan
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns
  • Maintain accurate records for all children on the caseload
  • Provide reports of children's progress to parents
  • Organize caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school or classroom
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communications Disorders
  • Illinois SLP license
  • Professional Educators License for SLPs, issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
