Propane Delivery Technician

AmeriGas, the nation's largest propane distributor, is seeking a safety-minded and customer-focused Propane Delivery Technician to join our team.

Job Summary

The Propane Delivery Technician will be responsible for safely delivering propane to residential and commercial customers while ensuring compliance with safety standards and excellent customer service. This role requires a valid CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements, offering a competitive hourly rate along with additional benefits such as paid time off and a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a propane delivery vehicle with lift gate and boom along designated routes
• Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
• Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
• On an as-needed basis, perform Delivery Representative functions, such as delivering bulk or canister propane
• Adhere to all federal and state codes, regulations, and AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures
• Consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment
• Work 8 to 12-hour shifts, depending on fluctuating needs

Requirements

• Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
• Acceptable driving record
• Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Capacity to lift up to 70lbs
