Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Production Planner and Scheduler to join our team in Lancaster, South Carolina.


The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be a self-starter, and take great pride in their work.


The Production Planner/Scheduler will plan and schedule production, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.


The role requires experience with ERP/MRP, high attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.


The successful candidate will work closely with Operations to create, modify, and manage production schedules.


They will determine material, equipment, and labor requirements, prepare status and performance reports, and resolve production issues as they arise.


Responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, providing production status updates to management, and facilitating timely delivery of products to customers.


The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent time management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Review production orders for completeness and release to the floor
  • Run MRP and release purchase requisitions/orders based on demand
  • Track and redate purchase orders as necessary
  • Maintain live production orders and close out when complete
  • Run capacity planning module and review as needed
  • Maintain master schedule for materials, etc.
  • Manage cycle count process and report as necessary
  • Manage and report inventory performance and other key metrics
  • Update and maintain system documentation

Requirements:



  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in production planning/scheduling, supply chain management, or logistics
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or other related discipline (Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Production/Planning Management)
  • Advanced experience in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Certifications such as APICS and CPIM preferred

Physical Requirements:



  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
