Job Summary

As an Electronics Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for adding components, wires, epoxy, hardware, and modifications to circuit boards, as well as assembling these boards into final assemblies according to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Proficiency: Read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and standard operating procedures.
  • Assembly Tasks: Utilize tools like tweezers, pliers, cutters, soldering iron, and magnifying devices to add components and modifications to circuit boards.
  • Quality Control: Hand wash areas of boards where sensitive components have been soldered and ensure all modifications comply with job specifications.
  • Final Assembly: Install circuit boards into final assemblies as required.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of time worked and adhere to departmental documentation requirements.
  • Independent Work: Work independently while focusing on high-quality output and minimizing errors.
  • Safety and Quality: Follow safety policies, report concerns, and actively participate in quality assurance efforts in alignment with the Company Quality policy.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to the Company Quality Management System and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Production Oversight: Halt production if nonconformances are identified.
  • Training: Engage in continuous on-the-job training through designated sessions.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED; 3-6 months of related experience preferred.
  • Must have experience in soldering, IPC or JSTD certification, and electronics assembly.
  • Basic PC skills and familiarity with microscope SMT parts and small gauge wiring.
