About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Automation Specialist to join our team at Amcor plc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing computerized systems and robotic devices that are designed to reduce human interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all plant and department-specific safety rules, procedures, and programs, and wear all required personal protective equipment for all plant, department, and task-specific requirements.
- Escalate safety issues and ensure a safe working environment.
- Link up with and communicate with all PLC and Drive Platforms.
- Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques, including Rapid Problem Solving, to identify and resolve issues.
- Mentor and train other technicians and maintenance trainees on Amcor systems and develop training procedures.
- Identify and address daily production losses related to system issues and communicate with maintenance staff on root causes and corrective actions.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of plant equipment and preventative maintenance techniques.
- Associates Degree in Electro-Mechanical or Industrial Automation.
- Formal training and/or education in electrical/electrical systems (including PLC's) preferred.
- 2-5 years' experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance of plant production machinery and support systems preferred.
What We Offer
- A competitive hourly rate of $36-$40/hour, plus 1.5x pay on Sundays.
- A 2-2-3 straight nights schedule, with 1/2 the year off.

- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to function in a team environment under deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Capable of PLC programming using Allen Bradley, Siemens.
