Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and driven associate to enhance our Labor and Employment practice group. The ideal candidate will possess over three years of experience in labor and employment law, particularly in FLSA class actions and appellate advocacy.
- Represent clients in intricate wage and hour class actions, including FLSA collective actions
- Draft and present dispositive motions in both federal and state courts
- Prepare appellate briefs for litigation in federal and state appellate courts
- Advise clients on adherence to federal and state employment regulations
- Conduct internal inquiries related to employment issues
- Assist throughout all litigation phases, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law institution with outstanding academic performance
- Minimum of three years of experience in labor and employment law at a reputable law firm
- Proven experience with FLSA class actions and appellate advocacy
- Strong skills in research, writing, and oral presentation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Admission to the Massachusetts Bar is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Clerkship experience with a federal judge
- Experience presenting motions in federal court
- Publication history in labor and employment law journals
