Job Title: MRI Tech

Management Business Solutions is seeking a skilled MRI Tech to join our team at our award-winning Community-based hospital. As an MRI Tech, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and position patients correctly for specific examinations, adhering to established protocols and documentation requirements.
  • Assume responsibility for designated areas and/or procedures, producing high-quality technical images and reviewing completed scans for quality and completeness.
  • Assist physicians during procedures as needed, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Perform quality assurance and calibrations as required, maintaining the highest standards of equipment maintenance and patient safety.
  • Work effectively in emergency situations, providing critical support to the department and patients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, reporting any equipment malfunctions to the MRI supervisor.
  • Print patient CDs as needed, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results.
  • Perform routine office duties, including answering phones, checking previous reports, and utilizing EMR and PACS systems.
  • Notify front desk staff upon exam completion, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Introduce themselves and educate patients or family members regarding the examination, providing clear and concise information.
  • Stay up-to-date with continuing education requirements, adhering to standards set forth by governing bodies.
  • Attend staff meetings and in-services, contributing to a culture of ongoing learning and professional development.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program.
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT), with ARRT MR certification within 1 year of hire date.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association, with IV certification preferred or completed within 6 months of orientation.
  • MRI safety certification level 2 required yearly.
