Aerotek is seeking a skilled Powder Coater to join our team in Catoosa, Oklahoma. As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for preparing metal surfaces for painting, applying coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes.
Key Responsibilities- Abrasive Blasting: Safely operate abrasive blasting equipment to remove scale, sand, paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt from metal surfaces.
- Paint Preparation: Select and mix premixed paints or create custom paint blends to match specified colors.
- Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare metal surfaces for painting, including degreasing and sanding.
- Paint Application: Apply coatings to metal surfaces using a power spray gun, ensuring even coverage and high-quality finishes.
- Quality Control: Inspect painted surfaces for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as metal finishing or painting.
- Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
- Equipment Operation: Ability to safely operate abrasive blasting equipment and power spray guns.
This is a fully on-site position in a non-climate-controlled paint booth environment.
