Job Title: Milieu Supervisor - Geriatric Full Time Weekend

Lakeside Behavioral Health System is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Milieu Supervisor to join our team. As a Milieu Supervisor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and therapeutic environment for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of patients by Community Counselors on the Gero unit.
  • Create a safe environment for patients, intervene in crises when necessary, and provide hope and empowerment.
  • Teach new tools for staff to use when working with patients and provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
  • Ensure that the program schedule set in place by the Program Director is adhered to by staff.
  • Act as a liaison between Social Services, Nursing Services, and Medical Staff Services.
  • Work with all Nursing staff to ensure Special Behavioral Treatment Plans are carried out as written by the treatment team.
  • Function as a staff-development trainer, sharing expert techniques and strategies with core and prn staff.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, with experience with behavioral health populations preferred.
  • State Nurse Aide certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationships, age-specific growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors, and CPR training.
