Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Civil Engineering Group Leader to provide leadership to project teams working on planning, evaluation, design, and implementation of civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will lead the study-phase and/or design-phase of projects related to civil, environmental, construction, and industrial fields.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project teams in planning, evaluation, design, and implementation of civil engineering projects
  • Provide guidance to project stakeholders and managerial staff regarding engineering requirements for construction of various designs and modifications
  • Manage project progress and ensure design specifications and standards are met
  • Collaborate with surveyors to establish installations or reference points, grades, elevations, and other factors that will affect construction
  • Develop and coach assigned staff to help them improve and meet their career objectives
  • Anticipate and plan for compliance complications with regulatory requirements based on knowledge of state and local regulations
Requirements
  • Civil Engineering Degree preferred
  • Minimum ten consecutive years of Civil Engineering experience
  • Public speaking ability
  • Ability to identify and solve complex problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be both creative and analytical
  • Extremely detail-oriented and accurate
