Key Responsibilities
  • Property Maintenance: Ensure that every home we offer is of the highest quality, making sure all appliances are functioning perfectly and the finishes are exceptional, creating a welcoming environment for our residents.
  • Unit Inspections: Regularly inspect units, identify needed improvements, and carry out repairs with skill and precision.
  • Appliance Repair: Repair appliances including refrigerators, stoves, water heaters, and HVAC units.
  • Finish Work: Repair damage to walls, ceilings, cabinets, and other finishes.
  • Renovations: Repair and replace windows, doors, flooring as needed.
  • Utilization of Skills: Utilize carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills to fix issues in apartment homes.
  • Planning and Budgeting: Work with the Community Manager to plan purchases and upgrades based on property needs and budget.
Physical Requirements

This role requires a physical, hands-on experience. You will be working with your hands, using ladders to access roof areas, balconies, attic spaces, and crawl spaces. You will also be managing circuit breaker positions and valve positions by sight, and safely handling plumbing and electrical appliances.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Language: Must be able to speak, read and write English.
  • Driver's License: Current and valid driver's license in the state where you live for operation of vehicles in furtherance of company business.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of maintenance experience required.
  • Certifications: EPA Type I Certification is required or must be prepared to obtain certification within 90-days after being employed.
  • Background Check: Must not be on the Denied Participation list issued by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development.
  • Skills: Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
