As a Surgical Services Nurse Leader, you will contribute to advancing nursing practices and improving patient outcomes.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
In this role, you will oversee the coordination and management of all unit functions during your assigned shifts.
Working alongside the management team, you will continuously evaluate the quality of patient care services delivered in the unit.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assessing, monitoring, documenting, and reporting on patient conditions and changes.
- Creating and maintaining precise and comprehensive patient records.
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and adjust care plans based on patient responses.
- Delegating nursing tasks appropriately while maintaining accountability for patient care.
- Providing tailored education to patients, families, and caregivers throughout the care continuum.
- Adhering to safety and infection control standards in all aspects of patient care.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required, along with experience as an OR circulator.
