Overview:

  • Assessing patient physiological responses to respiratory interventions, including monitoring vital signs, blood gas levels, and lung function, while collaborating with medical professionals in case of any adverse effects.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care by supporting various medical procedures.

Setting up and managing equipment such as therapeutic gas delivery systems, mechanical ventilators, environmental control units, and aerosol delivery devices.
Adhering to established treatment protocols.
Providing urgent care, including external cardiac resuscitation, artificial ventilation, or support during cardiopulmonary emergencies.
Conducting inspections, testing, cleaning, and maintaining respiratory therapy apparatus to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Keeping detailed records that include patient identification and treatment data.
Evaluating arterial blood gas measurements, interpreting prescriptions, assessing lung capacity, and analyzing additional information to gauge patient status.
Communicating blood analysis findings to healthcare providers.
Making urgent visits to troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
Coordinating necessary equipment repairs when required.

Position Type:
Full-time

Compensation:
Starting at $50.00 per hour

Expected working hours: 36 hours per week

Work Schedule:
8-hour shifts

Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year in respiratory therapy (Required)

Certifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (Required)
Basic Life Support Certification (Required)

Work Environment:
On-site
