Job Summary:

The Hospital Health Records Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting patient care data to establish standards for measuring the quality of medical care. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with medical staff and administrative teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze patient care data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Develop and implement standards for measuring the quality of medical care
Collaborate with medical staff and administrative teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency
Prepare and present data-driven reports to support quality improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care data

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. healthcare administration, health information management)
2+ years of experience in a medical records or healthcare data analysis role
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Proficiency in data analysis software and tools

Working Conditions:

This role requires prolonged sitting, moderate walking, and lifting and carrying. May require exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Requires ability to endure excessive typing. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work.

Accountabilities:

Responsible for compiling, interpreting, and structuring a well-organized set of criteria for evaluating patient care. Responsible for reviewing medical records for adherence to established criteria. Ensure accurate files of statistics, reports, and required remedial actions are maintained for use by the administrative and medical staffs.
